Frequently asked questions:

General

Fliteboard is an electric powered hydrofoil, also known as an eFoil. Standing on the board, riders use a handheld Flite Controller to manage their speed. With a mast that is partially underwater, Fliteboarding gives you the feeling of freedom as you glide silently just above the water. Learn more about what a Fliteboard is here.

Fliteboard refers to the whole configuration of board, Flitecell (battery) and eFoil (propulsion unit). Technically, an eFoil refers to the mast / propulsion unit only. That said, many people refer to the setup as an eFoil and the sport as eFoiling. We also call it Fliteboarding.

Fliteboard is easy to learn. Even with no previous board sports experience, most people can learn in less than one hour. Lessons are available at your nearest Fliteschool or you can teach yourself using this tutorial.

Go to our locations page to find a Fliteschool near you.

Regulations vary from State to State and Country to Country. It is the responsibility of riders to be aware of and comply with regulations in their specific location. We do not recommend Fliteboard to be used by children under 16 years of age, subject to local laws and regulations. We also recommend adult supervision.

Fliteboard has been extensively tested with riders weighing up to 120 kg / 265 lbs. Heavier, experienced riders may be able to use Fliteboard, however our factory specified limit for warranty is 120 kg with all setups except for ULTRA / L / L2. Please note that ‘Jet’ refers to Flite Jet 2, not the original Flite Jet, which is only under warranty for riders up to 100 kg.

Please check your local regulations for age and legal requirements. License regulations vary from state to state and country to country. For example, in Australia, Fliteboard is exempt from registration in some states, and in others it must be registered as a vessel. It is the responsibility of riders to be aware of and comply with regulations in their specific location.

The complete Fliteboard package weighs between 18kg - 34kg depending upon the board, Flitecell and wing choice. Fliteboard ULTRA L2 is the lightest performance eFoil in the market at just 18kg including wing and Flitecell Nano. All weights and dimensions for each board, mast and Flitecell can be found in the User Guide.

You can carry the board by holding one handle and the mast. The board can either be in front of you or behind you. Alternatively, you can crouch down beside the board and place the mast on the top of your shoulder. Engaging your core, lift your setup as if you are coming out of a squat. The board will be resting on your back and you can have both hands on the mast.

If carrying the complete board and battery is too heavy, we suggest carrying them separately and connecting the battery close to where you’ll enter the water. Just be sure to avoid putting your Flitecell battery on the sand. Carry it down and place it straight into your board.

Riding

It’s easy to learn how to Fliteboard, with most people able to get up in under an hour. We recommend taking a lesson at one of our global Fliteschools. Alternatively you can learn more by watching our video tutorial on How to Fliteboard.

Fliteschool locations can be found on our website.

Fliteboard can achieve speeds up to 50km/h / 30 mph. Top speed depends on a number of variables including weight, wing choice, propulsion system and rider ability. It's best to review our Ride Time Calculator for the most accurate data.

We strongly recommend that you wear appropriate safety gear when Fliteboarding, including an approved PFD / Impact Vest and helmet. When going out alone, notify people of your location and intended time of return. You may choose to ride with your cellphone in a waterproof pouch in the event of an emergency. If going a long distance, ensure you have a support boat to accompany you.

Like other water and snow sports, expect to crash and have a few thrills and spills, especially when learning. Like other water and snow sports, learning to Fliteboard can be an extreme activity. You need to be travelling at around 20km/h to be able to hydrofoil, and there is potential to hit the board, wing or eFoil in a crash. Part of the learning experience involves learning to fall away from the board to avoid injury. We recommend wearing a PFD / Impact Vest and a helmet. For a step by step guide to Fliteboard, review this blog.

Our Bluetooth Flite Controller has the battery charge % displayed on the screen and gives warnings at 50%, 10% and low battery, so you can make it back to land before running out of power. You'll hear a beep, vibration and get a message. We suggest not riding out further than you are willing to swim back.

While Fliteboard can be ridden in a wave or ocean swell (just like a SUP or surf foil) Fliteboard is not suitable for riding breaking waves in the surf zone or for jumping off waves. Riders do so at their own risk.

Fliteboard is much lighter than other powered craft, however it is heavier than a surfboard or SUP Foil. Therefore, it can be more dangerous to riders or other water users if caught in a wave. Fliteboard should never be ridden in the breaking surf zone, near other water users (including swimmers and surfers) or offshore from swimmers and surfers (in case Fliteboard is pushed towards shore in a wave).

The propulsion system is the difference between an eFoil vs hydrofoil. Through the use of electric power, you can experience a quiet yet thrilling ride on an eFoil. The electric motor gives you the power to fly through the air above a flat lake or river without the effort of pumping, like you do on a hydrofoil. While a hydrofoil relies on wind and waves, eFoils give you the freedom to ride anywhere, anytime. eFoiling has a much easier learning curve than hydrofoiling or surfing.

Many people have compared Fliteboarding to snowboarding in soft powder. It's similar to surfing and skateboarding but requires more front foot pressure.

Learn more about specific weights and dimensions here.

Fliteboard, PRO and ULTRA / L / L2 are made from our signature composite of carbon fiber and bulletproof grade Italian Carbon Innegra. This material provides superior strength for its weight. Boards are lighter to carry but can still withstand frequent use, wear and tear.

Flite x Marc Newson has been created with a flowing monocoque form with mast, fuselage and tail seamlessly connected for the most streamlined design. Inspired by the aerospace and high performance automotive industries, we used Japanese high modulus pre-preg (HMPP) carbon fiber to create the lightest, stiffest and strongest eFoil ever imagined.

Fliteboard and PRO are also available in fiberglass and Soft Top construction. You'll still get the performance and durability that Fliteboard is known for. Soft Top boards are constructed from fiberglass with a thick EVA foam top layer for comfort, grip, safety and durability. They are the same weight as the fibreglass construction.

Flite AIR combines a solid riding platform with an inflatable drop stitch construction outer bladder that reduces production cost and improves durability, all without a noticeable weight increase.

Flitescooter has a removable inflatable PVC coated drop stitch bladder, carbon fibre core and fiberglass lid. This allows for constant use and enjoyment. Considered design makes it easy to roll up, transport and store. Fliteboard AIR XL bladder is an optional extra for Flitescooter for a more maneuvrable rider

Yes, you can convert your Flitescooter using the Fliteboard XL AIR inflatable bladder and ride it without the handlebars. Flitescooter handlebars require the Flitescooter Inflatable and Flitescooter eFoil setup with Safety Key, Flite Jet and Cruiser 1800 wing set. For safety reasons, using Flitescooter handlebars is not compatible with Fliteboard AIR XL Inflatable or any other eFoil set up.

Flitecell

The main difference between Flitecell Explore, Sport and Nano is the foiling time. You can find out more information on our Flitecell page and in the Ride Calculator.

Yes, except for ULTRA L2, Flite AIR and AIR PRO which are not compatible with Flitecell Explore.

We have two chargers available for purchase. Both plug into a standard household wall socket.

Flitecell is the best portable marine battery range available. Ride duration is dependent on a number of variables like weight, speed, competency of the rider as well as wing and propulsion system. The most accurate indication of battery charge duration is found on our Ride Calculator. A general indication of charge duration is provided below.

Flitecell Explore offers maximum foil time, in excess of 2 hours. The slower you ride, the longer your battery will last. If you ride constantly at high speed, or have multiple touchdowns/restarts, it’s possible to deplete the battery in under 1 hour.

The Flitecell Sport will last approx 1 hour 10 mins at an average foiling speed of 25 km/h.

Flitecell Nano will provide a foil time up to 45mins.

The Flite Controller display shows the remaining Flitecell power as voltage, remaining time and range (based upon your power consumption). An efficiency screen on the controller displays watt hours per kilometre, to guide you to speed up or slow down to maximise your ride time and range.

In addition, the specially configured Battery Management System will reduce the power available when Flitecell is close to running out. This gives you enough power to motor slowly back to shore, but not enough power to foil. For safety reasons, you should never ride further from shore than you are prepared to swim.

The maximum possible distance can vary in excess of 40km / 25mi and depends on your wing choice, battery choice, conditions, rider experience and weight. Checkout the Ride Calculator for a more precise indication based on individual setups.

There are two chargers to choose from.

Flitecell Fast Charger is 25 Amp. It charges Flitecell Explore in less than 2 hours, Flitecell Sport in less than 1.5 hours and Flitecell Nano in less than 50min.

Flitecell Slow Charger is 6 Amp. This charger is more compact and draws a lower current, making it more suitable for some boats and generators. It will charge Flitecell Explore in less than 9 hours, Flitecell Sport in less than 6 hours and Flitecell Nano in less than 3.5 hours.

Both chargers can plug into a standard wall socket.

To extend the life of your Flitecell and enjoy optimal ride time follow these instructions on our Support Portal.

Unfortunately electric vehicle batteries are not permitted on passenger aircraft. Depending on the route, it may be possible to ship the Flitecell separately on a dedicated cargo plane, via road or sea transport. We have a network of Flitecell Rental locations around the world where you can hire a Flitecell from.

Wings

Hydrodynamicists have designed Fliteboard’s eFoil wings specifically for electric hydrofoiling. With numerous eFoil wings and stabilisers, there are many combinations to choose from for any level of performance. If you’re new to Fliteboarding, start with the Cruiser 1100 or the Cruiser Jet 1500. Advance from there.

Below is an overview of our ranges. You can visit our wings page for more information on individual wings.

Cruiser range

The Cruiser range is all about stability. Larger wings allow for earlier foiling at slower speeds. Advanced riders can take advantage of the extra glide to ride swell without the use of the motor.

Cruiser Jet range

The Cruiser Jet range has been optimised for maximum stability and efficiency with Flite Jet. Larger wings allow for earlier foiling at slower speeds. Advanced riders can use extra glide for riding swell.

Speed range

These eFoil wings come to life at higher speeds. Perfect for controlled carving - just like snowboarding, without the frostbite.

Flow range

These high aspect eFoil wings are loose and manoeuvrable. Ride waves, or ride rivers like a wave.

Flow S range

The Flow S range is the lower aspect version of the Flow range, with increased roll rate for a crazy loose ride but with safer wing tips (at the expense of glide).

Stabilizers

Every wing set comes with a rear stabilizer to fine tune your riding experience. Choose from Flite 290, Cruiser Jet 300, Flow 245, Race 200 and Flite 500. Conical wing stabs are available in Flow 245 C, Cruiser 500 C and Cruiser Jet 300 C.

Since the MN launch, we have launched FLITELab* and all wings being developed for prone foiling will be compatible with the conical interface. They will not be available in the standard flat-interface. Please see the following questions for more information on the difference between conical and flat-interface wings.

Conical wings are only compatible with C eFoil propulsion systems (Flitescooter C, Prop C, Jet C, MN Carbon Jet C and MN Carbon Wave C), which are used with Series 5 and Series 4 MN and Performance eFoils only. All other Fliteboard wings, which do not have a C in the name, are compatible and interchangeable with any Fliteboard from Series 4 and earlier (excluding MN and performance eFoils). These are sometimes referred to as flat-interface wings. Please note this exception: Cruiser 1800 and Cruiser Jet 1800 are not compatible with Series 1 eFoils, and we do not recommend putting performance wings on AIR XL.

Conical wings have been developed for speed and smoothness. The hydrodynamic and lightweight titanium nose cone is flush mounted to HMPP carbon fibre wings. Inspired by motorsport aerodynamics, this range signifies the next evolution of performance and durability. Compatible with all C efoils (Flitescooter C, Prop C, Jet C, MN Carbon Jet C and MN Carbon Wave C) from Series 5, as well as Series 4 MN and performance eFoils, and future FLITELab* masts.

Conical wings can be used with all boards after Series 2 if they are fitted with a C eFoil.

Learn more about Fliteboard eFoil wings here.

Learn more about Fliteboard eFoil wings on our Wings page or in this article.

Wing compatibility is connected to the eFoil, not the board (see previous answers for more on this). C eFoils with conical wings can be fitted to all boards after Series 2. Cruiser 1800 and Cruiser Jet 1800 are the only wings from our flat-interface range that are not compatible with Series 1 eFoils.

Fliteboard wings are built with carbon fiber construction for ultimate strength, lightness and stiffness.

No, the C eFoils have had a minor change to the stabilizer hole separation from 29mm to 30mm, which aligns with industry standard. For the best experience we recommend using the correct stabilizers supplied.

No, the Flite 500 stabilizer requires its own set of shims (which are supplied together with the stabiliser wing when purchased). The conical wings also have their own stabilizers and shims.

Fliteboard wings are carbon composite epoxy construction and can be repaired by your local surfboard repair specialist.

Sometimes foil wings can make a humming noise at certain speeds. This can be easily fixed by a process called 'tuning' which involves lightly sandpapering the trailing edge of the wing.

Follow the instructions in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYDqmPVYNy8 to tune your wing and get rid of the noise.

Yes but there will be a large step behind the aft of the wing which will result in induced drag.

C in the wing name stands for conical, and indicates that wings from our conical range must be used. Conical wings are compatible with Series 5 and Series 4 MN and Performance eFoils only.

C eFoils are compatible with all boards from Series 2 onwards, except Flitescooter, which should only be used with Flitescooter C or one of our 60cm / 24” eFoils.

Propulsion

Flite Jet 2 is our latest propulsion technology, offering our smoothest, most responsive ride. It is incredibly safe, stable, quiet and astonishingly efficient, and designed to work across our entire line-up, from Flitescooter to ULTRA L2. It’s our best propulsion option for powered eFoil riding perfection in flat water or surf. For all but the most advanced wave riders, who will enjoy Flite Folding Prop, we recommend Flite Jet 2.

With our new jet technology, you can ride swell with Flite Jet 2 (which is not recommended for the original Flite Jet). We also recommend True Glide Prop and Flite Folding Prop for wave riders. Learn more about propulsion here.

Our original Flite Jet (sometimes called Flite Jet 1) is compatible with Flitescooter, Fliteboard and PRO. It is designed for a safe and smooth riding experience with its fully shielded impeller. It is not ideal for heavier riders.

Flite Jet 2 is our latest propulsion technology that is incredibly safe, with its fully shielded impeller. It has been designed to work across our entire line-up, from Flitescooter to ULTRA L2, for flat water or the surf. It is our recommendation for most riders, as it offers smooth, efficient and responsive rides.

Flite Propeller is our most versatile option offering a great mix of efficiency, thrust and safety (when using the Prop Guard that comes standard). Riders will enjoy the efficiency of this system that uses our unique reduction gearbox and propeller design. Together, they provide long rides and allow the use of smaller and lighter batteries. Heavier riders will benefit from maximum thrust provided by our reduction gearbox that quadruples the torque of the motor to get heavier riders up and foiling quickly with minimum battery power.

True Glide is a free spinning propeller, designed for minimum drag when catching waves and riding swell. Using only the power of the ocean, you can release the trigger to glide. The transition between powered and unpowered is unbelievably smooth. Power back out after your wave to catch the next set. This is the best choice for experienced riders looking for max range to weight ratio. It must be paired with the Pro Tail Cover for optimal performance.

Flite Folding Prop is the ultimate choice for surfing enthusiasts. The intelligent design automatically streamlines, folding back when you release the Flite Controller throttle to reduce drag and ensure maximum glide efficiency. The folding blades are designed specifically for advanced riders who love to harness the power of the ocean or the wake of a boat. It is easy to switch between your regular propeller and Flite Folding Prop, enabling you to tailor your choice based on water conditions and the ride experience you want. Compatible with Prop C eFoil only.

MN Wave Folding Prop has been designed specifically for the 46mm fuselage of MN Carbon Wave C eFoil. It is the ultimate choice for surfing enthusiasts. The intelligent design automatically streamlines, folding back when you release the Flite Controller or MN Flite Controller throttle to reduce drag and ensure maximum glide efficiency. The folding blades are designed specifically for advanced riders who love to harness the power of the ocean or the wake of a boat.

Unique to Flite, Dual Drive is an innovative propulsion system that allows the user to quickly change from Flite Jet to Flite Prop or True Glide Prop with no tools required. It is part of Series 3 and 4, excluding MN and Performance eFoils.

While you don’t need tools to change from jet to prop, you will need tools to remove the prop guard (if applicable). Prop guard removal tools are supplied to customers when purchasing the Pro Tail Cover, which is essential if using the propeller with the prop guard.

No tools are required to change from jet to prop, however tools are required to remove the prop guard (if applicable). Prop guard removal tools are supplied to customers when purchasing the Pro Tail cover, which is essential if using a propeller without the prop guard.

With the advancements we’ve made in technology, our focus is on the conical performance range, not on constructing Dual Drive eFoils. All eFoil propulsion systems are preconfigured with Flite Jet 2 or a Prop. You can still change it up with True Glide Prop or Flite Folding Prop for riding waves.

If you purchased a jet and prop in Series 3 or 4, you would have received an eFoil case with space for both propulsion systems.

While the True Glide Prop minimizes drag by freely spinning when not powered, the Folding Prop simply folds into a streamlined position when unpowered. It does so by pivoting at the root of each blade, allowing the flow of water to push it closed. As soon as power is engaged, centrifugal force and thrust open and hold the blades into position.

Flite Folding Prop is best paired with a Pro Tail Cover and best suited to the performance boards PRO and ULTRA / L / L2.

Flite Folding Prop is not compatible with Flite Jet, as it uses an impeller rather than a propeller.

Flite Folding Prop is easy to install. You can find the instructions here.

Like all Flite components Folding Prop should be rinsed with fresh water after every use.

No, the intelligent design of Folding Prop means that it transforms automatically and mechanically. There is no need to select a specific mode to use Folding Prop on your Fliteboard.

MN Wave Folding Prop is configured with MN Carbon Wave C eFoil, as it has been designed specifically for the 46mm diameter fuselage.

Remove the propeller using the 13mm socket in the accessories pouch then remove the prop pin. Loosen the 2 grub screws with the 2mm Allen key. Remove the end cap ring nut. Remove the prop guard. Tighten the Module without the prop guard installed. Reinstall prop guard, ring nut, tighten grubs screws and reinstall propeller with pin. Note: do not swap the jet and prop whilst the prop guard is attached.

"On the Flite Controller, Click 'mode' until you get to the Drive selection screen

Controller

Flite Controller is fully waterproof and it includes a magnetic hall sensor throttle for precise control. Flite Controller includes a number of rider modes to make learning easier, and also to provide precision control for experienced riders. Flite Controller features a high contrast digital display that provides a range of information to help you get the most from your ride, and to assist you to return home with remaining Flitecell power. Flite Controller has a safety feature which automatically cuts off the motor once submerged.

MN Flite Controller features animated real-time feedback on a large round colour display for a more intuitive riding experience. Wave Mode displays live data on every wave you catch. The high brightness OLED will keep your ride data visible. MN Flite Controller comes with a new wireless charger.

Yes, Flite Controller and MN Flite Controller are waterproof.

Flite AIR

Flite AIR is the result of years of work to offer Flite quality at a lower price. A revolutionary board concept, created by using smart design and engineering to reduce cost without reducing quality, and without impacting on weight, durability or safety features.

Flite AIR 5’8” 110L is suited for all kinds of riders, especially beginners as its rigid inflatable construction offers great buoyancy, stability, comfort and safety. Flite AIR PRO 5’2" 80L is less buoyant and stable, and designed for an agile and responsive ride.

Flite AIR is perfectly suited for families with the rigid inflatable construction. For maximum safety, Flite Jet 2 with its impeller is the best propulsion choice.

Flite AIR combines a rigid foam-core platform for a steady and responsive ride, with a reinforced inflatable outer section that helps keep weight down and durability up.

The maximum rider weight for Flite AIR and AIR PRO is 120kg / 265lbs.

Flite AIR is compatible with Flitecell Nano and Sport. It is not compatible with Flitecell Explore.

Flite products are created in a modular ecosystem. With the exception of Series 1 eFoils, all Flite eFoils are compatible with Flite AIR.

Flite AIR and AIR PRO can be used with the Prop Guard propulsion system as well as Flite Jet and Folding Prop.

Yes, as long as you have the corresponding eFoil. For example, if you have a C eFoil, then use conical wings.

Flite AIR is compatible with all wings, so long as you have the corresponding eFoil (conical wings with C eFoils). It can be used with Flitecell Nano and Sport, but not Explore. You may also use the MN Flite Controller.

Yes, Flite AIR and AIR PRO's inflatable construction may be repaired using the included repair kit.

Flite AIR and AIR PRO do not come with bags. The Travel Bags can be purchased separately here.

Our inflatable product range has evolved. We now offer Flite AIR and AIR PRO, Flitescooter and Fliteboard AIR XL Inflatable, to convert your Flitescooter into an inflatable board that rides without handlebars.

Flitescooter

Yes, the handlebars add an extra point of stability, making it very easy to learn in minutes (even with no previous board sports experience). Read this blog to find out why Flitescooter is so easy to ride.

Yes, simply detach the mast and voilà, you have a Fliteboard. You can also purchase a Fliteboard AIR XL Inflatable to make it smaller and more agile.

No, Flitescooter is designed for Cruiser 1800 wing and Flite 500 stabilizer. If using Flitescooter C eFoil, then choose Cruiser 1800 C wing and Flite 500 C stabilizer.

If you convert Flitescooter to a Fliteboard by removing the handlebars, then you may use all Flite wings, so long as they are made for the corresponding eFoil (e.g. conical wings for C eFoils).

Yes, you can use all Flitecells, though we recommend Sport or Explore to maximize ride time.

It attaches to your wrist so that in the event of a fall, the Flitescooter will immediately cut power to the motor.

No, the optional Fliteboard AIR XL bladder is to replace the Flitescooter bladder for those who want to convert Flitescooter to a Fliteboard without handlebars. Fliteboard AIR XL has a shorter nose and reduced volume for increased maneuvrability.

ULTRA L2

ULTRA L2 blurs the line between eFoil and surf foil. Impossibly light, slimmer and more hydrodynamically efficient, it is perfect for all performance riders.

The ULTRA range gets lighter with each new model iteration. ULTRA L2 is the culmination of the evolution of the ULTRA Range. It is the lightest weight and highest performance Fliteboard, featuring the smallest diameter propulsion system for reduced drag and max thrust. ULTRA L2 comes with the lightest eFoil and a new, narrow board shape supporting improved wave riding and maneuverability.

ULTRA L2 is the lightest weight and highest performance eFoil in the world weighing only 18 kg / 39.6 lbs, with Flitecell Nano.

Yes. ULTRA L2 has been pre-configured with a MN Carbon Wave 82cm / 32" eFoil mast, with 46mm fuselage diameter - specifically designed for wave riding. You can use other eFoils, but we recommend the longer length C eFoils for maximum performance.

ULTRA L2 is compatible with all our propulsion options, including Flite Jet 2. If you are looking for maximum wave riding performance, then we recommend MN Wave Folding Prop, which is preconfigured on MN Carbon Wave eFoil. You can use other eFoils, but we recommend the longer length C eFoils for maximum performance.

ULTRA L2 is perfectly suited to Wave 850 C and Wave 1000 C for those looking to ride swell. The rest of the Flite conical wing range is excellent too, depending on what type of ride you are seeking.

ULTRA L2 is paired perfectly with the MN Flite Controller, featuring a large colour display and real time wave data throughout your session. ULTRA L2 is also compatible with our award-winning ergonomic Flite Controller.

ULTRA L2 is compatible with Flitecell Sport and Nano only. It is not compatible with Flitecell Explore.

ULTRA L2 is the lightest and stiffest eFoil board currently in the market. It has been designed with high performance and wave riding in mind.

Soft Top

Soft Top is similar to a Fibreglass board, but with the top layer of the fibreglass being replaced with suede EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate; a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate) for a soft and comfortable finish.

Soft Top Board has the same weight and volume as the Fibreglass 100L and Fibreglass PRO boards.

Soft Top board (board only) 100L weighs 12.8 kg / 28 lbs and the Soft Top PRO board is 10 kg / 22 lbs which is identical to the Fliteboard Fibreglass range.

Soft Top board (100L) and Soft Top PRO (67L) have the same buoyancy as the Fibreglass board.

Yes, Soft Top comes with a board bag.

Yes, Soft Top is compatible with all Flite eFoils except for Series 1.

Yes, Soft Top is compatible with Flitecell Explore, Sport and Nano.

Yes, Soft Top is compatible with all Flite Propulsion systems.

Flite x Marc Newson

Marc Newson is one of the world's most influential designers. Marc has created some of the most iconic examples of industrial design in the past century. This iconic Australian has created for clients including Louis Vuitton, Ferrari, Montblanc, Hermès and Riva. He has worked across a wide range of disciplines, from furniture, luxury goods and technology to marine, automotive and aviation design. He is the only designer to be represented by Gagosian Gallery. His uniquely reductive approach perfectly matches with the Fliteboard philosophy. We collaborated with him over 3 years to create the limited edition Flite x Marc Newson range which delivers unparalleled craftsmanship and performance.

The ultimate eFoil has been created with a flowing monocoque form with mast, fuselage and tail seamlessly connected for the most streamlined design. Inspired by the aerospace and high performance automotive industries, we used Japanese high modulus pre-preg (HMPP) carbon fibre to create the lightest, stiffest and strongest eFoil ever imagined. The Marc Newson design signature is evident in every curve and contour of these pre-preg carbon fibre boards. A narrower footprint offers better hydrodynamics, allowing for greater lean angles and lower swing weight. Redesigned board rails and a Voronoi pattern deck grip are stunning and functional. It also features a new design Flite Controller.

Newson redesigned the award-winning Flite Controller to feel analogue and organic. MN Flite Controller features a large colour display and an intuitive interface for real-time feedback. Wave mode logs and displays wave data throughout your session.

This premium range comes in 3 configurations.

MN86

At 5'4" configured with Flite Jet 2, MN86 is the largest board in the MN range making riding easy for heavier riders and novices.

MN60

At 4'6" configured with Flite Jet 2, this shorter board makes for sharper turns but less overall stability.

MN60 Wave

With a revolutionary 46mm motor that is half the size and weight of previous Fliteboard motors, this 4'6" setup is for advanced riders who prioritize powered-off wave riding.
